As an employer you will benefit from all of the below:
The government will fund your new starters salary in full at minimum wage rates, for 6 months based on a 25 Hour week.
Under the Kickstart Scheme the government will reimburse the employer for the trainees minimum pension contribution.
As part of the scheme all Employers national insurance contributions for applicants will be reimbursed by the government.
For every 16-24 year old hired through the scheme, the government will cover up to £1,500 for Training, Onboarding, Equipment and additional costs to house your new employees comfortably and safely.
The scheme is available to employers looking to get support to fund NEW positions that they would otherwise be unable to offer if it were not for the scheme.
There is no obligation on the employer to retain the employee after the six-month window (although it is hoped that employers would want to in at least some cases)
Employers are NOT obliged to increase the employees hours above the contracted 25 hours per week and the employers are not obliged to pay any increased supplementary wage – Naturally should you wish to pay a higher wage that is entirely up to you, the Government however will only reimburse employers to the level of 25 hours per week at National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage depending on the employees age.
The scheme is now LIVE and placements are happening now.

We will liaise with you to assist your training programmes in accordance with the DWP requirements, including CV Writing, How to Prepare for Interviews and many other programmes. All costs for this are covered by the Government grant.
Once your new starters have been included in their first payroll, via one of the recognised systems such as Xero or Sage, the DWP will pick this up and arrange your full refund for salary, pension contribution and employers National Insurance. This will be paid promptly in arrears.
